The Cal Poly Club Tennis Team is our local chapter of the USTA's Tennis On Campus program. We are a co-ed, student-run team separate from the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Teams or ASI intramural tennis. Our goal is to give tennis players the opportunity to compete against top universities, while also balancing academics and other extracurricular activities. We practice 4-5 times per week and travel to tournaments 2-3 times a quarter.
Our practice schedule is Monday-Thursday evenings from 7:30pm-9:30 pm, and players on the team frequently meet outside of practice times for extra hitting opportunities. At Tennis On Campus tournaments, we follow the World Team Tennis format which involves one set each of men's and women's singles and doubles as well as a set of mixed doubles. Check out this sample scoresheet for more information.
